Schools & Research Training

Rock Climbing Robots Hackathon
  • Taking part in a team of six: four PhD students from CDT-D2AIR and two from LAAS-CNRS, Toulouse.
  • Teams build autonomous robots that climb a vertical wall using only its holds, with separate rankings in simulation (MuJoCo) and on the real robot.
  • The robots are based on Microban, an open-source small humanoid from the Rhoban team in Bordeaux.
1st IEEE RAS Summer School: Decision-Making for Cognitive Robots
  • Attended this IEEE Robotics and Automation Society summer school: 20 hours of lectures and 11 hours of labs.
  • Pitched my research topic: reachability-based motion and manipulation planning.
  • Lectures and labs on task and motion planning, risk-bounded planning, constrained sampling, humanoid loco-manipulation, behaviour foundation models, and learned planning models, with speakers including Brian Williams (MIT), Marc Toussaint (TU Berlin), Jan Peters (TU Darmstadt), Majid Khadiv (TUM), and Hector Geffner (RWTH Aachen).
ROMANDIC Winter School on Robotic Manipulation of Deformable Objects
  • Presented a poster and a short project pitch on my PhD research.
  • Took part in workshops and mini-projects on learning for manipulation.
  • Week-long school on robot handling of deformable objects, with a focus on textiles, covering perception, simulation, control, benchmarking, and real-world applications.
  • Organised within the ROMANDIC project, an EU Horizon Europe Network of Excellence in Robot Manipulation of Deformables.

Work Experience

Makerspace Student Technician
  • Learning ROS2 and creating student guides from scratch.
  • Delivered workshops on Raspberry Pi and Arduino to Computer Science students.
  • Maintained 3D printers, prepared electronic kits, and supported student projects.
  • Received The Edinburgh Award for my contributions as a Makerspace Student Technician.
Software Engineering Summer Intern
  • Contributed to agile product development using Java, Maven, SQL, and Spring Boot.
  • Developed backend solutions integrating with Oracle Databases.
  • Utilized React.js for frontend development in a collaborative environment.
